Dr. Ashok Kondur is a nationally recognized Interventional Cardiologist, physician executive, educator, and healthcare innovator specializing in advanced cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, he also holds certifications in Echocardiography, Vascular Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology, including SPECT and PET imaging. He earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College and NTR University of Health Sciences in Hyderabad, India, and completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training through Detroit Medical Center, Harper University Hospital, and Wayne State University.

Dr. Kondur is a leader in complex high-risk coronary intervention, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, structural heart disease, and peripheral vascular interventions. His expertise includes transradial coronary intervention, Chronic Total Occlusion revascularization, TAVR, Watchman implantation for atrial fibrillation, ASD/PFO closure, mitral and aortic valvuloplasty, carotid artery stenting, peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, venous disease, and Endovascular Aneurysm Repair. He has authored numerous scientific publications and is a frequent national speaker on advanced cardiovascular and vascular therapies.

Dr. Kondur serves as Associate Professor of Medicine and Chair and Program Director of the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Program at Garden City Hospital/Michigan State University. He is Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support and Complex High-Risk Coronary Intervention and Medical Director of CHIP, ECMO, and Mechanical Circulatory Support Programs at Henry Ford Providence Hospital. He also practices at Michigan Heart & Vascular PLLC and the Michigan Outpatient Vascular Institute.

Dr. Kondur serves on the Central Michigan University Board of Trustees through 2032, where he chairs the Innovation and Workforce Partnerships Committee. A former Michigan Certificate of Need Commissioner, he is dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation, medical education, workforce development, and patient-centered care.
